Light in the Shadows - Playlist

"Lava" is Released!

 "Lava" is officially released to the public, as the first song on the "Light in the Shadows" album.  It's fully one acoustic guitar and one vocal.  Below are the lyrics.  Please listen using the BandCamp playlist that is embedded on the main page on this blog. Lava Gentle flame Crackle snap Crash and burn Wo-oh The burning Brings intensity To the calm Wo-oh Feel the heat Embracing energy Can you feel it Wo-oh Dancing flames Screaming angels … Wo-oh Wo-oh Wo-oh Wo-oh Wo-oh I’m blazing from afar Have molten blood within My melody remains Glowing rivers flow With rhythm in my veins Only the lava knows Rolling smoke From the ashes Out of control Wo-oh Staring At the embers Can’t let it go Wo-oh Wo-oh Wo-oh Wo-oh Wo-oh I’m blazing from afar Have molten blood within My melody remains Glowing rivers flow With rhythm in my veins Only the lava knows Let it flow through me Let it burn deeply Let it consume me Lava fight for what’s right Let it flow through me Let it burn...

First Track -> Lava

 My first track is complete and is called " Lava" !  I plan to announce its 'BandCamp Only' release within the next couple days, then will be more active here, speaking about lyrics and anything else that comes to mind.  I would love to answer questions if anyone has any, too! Don't forget, I will be adding more and more tracks to this album as time goes on. I can't wait for you to hear it!

Vocals Complete for My First Track!

 I'm excited to say that I am done recording the vocals! One thing that makes the vocals so extra important when the content of a track is only acoustic guitar and vocals is that they are in the forefront.  I found myself really getting finicky about not only hitting notes, but how I pronounced the consonants and vowels.  I've done this enough years to know that the tone of my voice isn't conventional, but I can still do it the best I can.  Singing songs with my kids is a fun way I keep my voice in practice.  :)
